I tried asking this question before, but didn’t get an answer.
I’m having difficulty getting an AVCHD 1440x1080i 3 camera project to render in Vegas pro 8, using the 1440×1080 60i 15MBPS Blu-ray video stream option. I’ve tried many different project property settings, but the program keeps shutting down. The project renders fine using the main concept MPEG2 option. I don’t think my computer hardware is the problem, since it’s a very powerful machine. If I upgrade from 32 bit Vista to 64 bit Vista and install Vegas Pro 8.1, will this improve the rendering performance? Thanks!

Powerful machine often equals a lot of heat when it comes to encoding horsepower. Are you *sure* you’re not shutting down due to heat? It’s a common problem.

Down load this to get coretemperature displayed. Computer shots down around 60C. It’s free (you may donate).
