    Hello,

I am trying to find the best way in order to sacrifice as least quality as possible in the de-interlacing process.

Under file->properties (i mean project properties) it has an option of “Motion blur type” among other things. Has anyone tried all the types to see which one works better, or at least the pros and cons for each?

I would really appreciate to know the answer on this.

    Thanks

    Niki

The type of motion/lack of motion determines the deinterlacing method you should use. For static shots, use Blend Fields. For active shots containing a lot of motion, use Interpolate.

Let that remain as the default Gaussian Blur
For high end De-interlacing, Pulldown and Film Motion..
I normally use Magic Bullet Frames or RE:Vision FieldsKit
    in After Effects.
However if im doing it in Vegas i simply use vasst celluloid
    24p conversion feature.
