  How to get 2 audio track into 1 with the Left and Right channel

  Hi I’m new to Vegas. I have a audio question.

  I want to combine 2 audio files into one while having the left and right channel.

  the reason for this is I am making a Karaoke song where the right channel has the original singer singing while the other channel only instrumental.

  so basically, I have 1 audio file with the original singer singing and a second audio file with instrumental only. When I tried to render them into mpeg, avi etc, and when I play it and changing the channels, its still only plays one channel..

  does anyone know how I can make this work.. I’ve tried many combinations but no luck..

  any help would be great

  So… which channel does it play? vocals or instruments? or is that not what you meant?

  If you want a stereo recording with vocals in one channel and instruments in the other, then make sure both files are set to mono on their respective tracks, and pan one hard left and the other hard right.
