    I am completely lost!

We shot footage and took the raw .mxf files and imported into AE CS4 and all was well. The footage was being interpreted as 720 with a frame rate of 59.94 and no specific field first. Under all the info in the project panel it says dvn7. The clip was 7 seconds long.

The problem is on another computer using a matrox I/O card (I think) and it also interpolates the footage as 720 with 59.94 and field also off. The problem is it does not say dvn7 (whatever that is) and it says Matrox dvcpro hd and when the clip is imported into a timeline we have a problem.

It is also 7 seconds, but its out point is the 3:15 point of the previous example and only shows half of the footage. We solved the problem by changing the comp FR to 29.97, but that slows the speed of the clip in half.

I really hope my description is accurate and makes sense, but my questions are what is dvn7, how do we make the troubled computer read the files without the matrox dvcpro codec, and why does this codec seem to alter the rate of the clip.

Again in short, cs4 on a mac, cs3 on a pc work fine with this dvn7 compression, but when on a windows computer trying to use matrox, it is unable to show the 2nd half of the clip without inaccurately altering the frame rate of the clip.

thanks for any suggestions in advance!
