  • HELP!! No audio with MPEG-2

Posted by Anthony Schudel on March 27, 2009 at 11:39 pm

I’m using Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9. I’ve rendered as 19 minutes of video to AVI and it was a huge 32GIG file. A friend told me to render as MPEG-2 but when I do there is no audio. I’m using MP3 files and WMV files for audio clips but none show up on the MPEG-2. I tried using MPEG-1 but the video quality is no where near the quality of MPEG-2. Please help before I jump out my window! Thanks.

    Hi
It depends on what template you’re using. If you’re rendering or DVD-A, you’ll need to render twice. Once for the MPEG-2 file and again for the AC3 (audio). Make sure both files had the same name but they will have different extensions. Keep them in the same folder.

In DVDA, when you bring the NMPEG-2 in, the Audio will follow automatically.
