wierd crash and clips going red

i was doing my project for like 5 hours
and an “dont send” error has occured
of course i have saved, and when i try to open it its opening till like 11% and then i get a file missing error, i replace it, OK, it loads the Video and Audio tracks, and the last few video clips on Video track go RED and no preview is avalible (of those clips)
when the red tracks go to the end of loading sony vegas closes….
any ideas?i have Sony Vegas Pro 8.0b
PLEASE HELP

March 18, 2009 at 5:22 amStill images that are too large on the timeline often cause the red color that you are seeing. Check the image size for them in your project folder. If they are well over 2000 x 2000, downsize them and see what happens.

Reload the project, don’t let it search for that one missing file. Then replace the missing file in the Project Media with a good/new version.Douglas Spotted Eagle

May 27, 2010 at 9:15 amI used to have this problem. I fixed it by converting the video file I was using (that was turning red) to a .wmv file keeping all other characteristics the same. It’s no longer a problem as a result.
