I am using Sony Vegas 8 and am trying to render a video of me speaking. When I render to mp4 avc/aac or other quick time codecs the audio is slightly ahead of the video, however when I render to Windows Media Video I do not have any sync problems. If needed I can send video files of each to show the difference.

First…you have to be careful thinking that there is
a problem, when actually there isn’t.
(Because some formats plays more fluently than others
    when using certain media players
    ).
What are you using to playback these video files after you
    render them?

    Dear Steve,
Thanks for your reply, I used quick time pro to play back the mp4 file and windows media player to play back the WMV file.

well…I dont think anything is really
wrong with that mp4 format you rendered from Vegas…..if
you dont have a fast computer..etc, mp4 format played back
in quicktime sometimes will seem out of sync.
Try playing that mp4 file in another capable player and
see if it still behaves the same way.

I tried the mpeg4 file on a faster laptop that I have, than the desktop I rendered the file on, and still had the same problem. I rendered the video in Vegas for my ipod and as far as I can tell there is no sync problem looking at it on my ipod.
