I wasted too much time wrestling with the hd render bugs in vegas (unknown error while rendering 1920×1080). It’s a well known problem and the only solution is to render as an avi, and then open in a new project and re-render as a wmv. This is a pain because the avi is on the order of hundreds of gigs large. From what I’ve read the problem has existed for a while across a few versions of vegas.

I’m thinking about switching to premiere. With the time I’ve wasted it would have paid for itself a few times over. I’m just wondering if anyone has had similar problems rendering in premiere. If this solves my problems then I’d be more than happy to switch.

Well…personally ive never had an issue in rendering
my HD projects in whatever format…and have even rendered
    2k projects flawlessly….
So if you think you’ve waisted your time..you can download
a trial version of Premiere and give it a test run and see
if it handles HD any easier.
