  Camcorder Disc VS Vista

  Hello Everyone,
  im new here, and have joined to ask for some help with a SOny Vegas 7 problem.

  On XP, i could insert my camcorder DVD disc and import the video from it into vegas, but since i upgraded to vista, vegas just states there is no disc in the D Drive. I bought a new deck top on Vista also, and same problem there, I hear there is some kind of CODEC missing in visat that allows the system to read certain discs?

  Any ideas or patches.

  Sorry i cant be of much help here….i dont use vista or will
  be using it as a OS in my editing workflow.

  But still, Vegas Pro 8 is more geared for vista OS.
