I’m new to the Vegas program but I’m sure that such an advance video editing software could at least support the avi format. Well, actually it could import avi video but it only seems that the audio is there. When i preview the video it only plays the audio and also only renders the audio too. I’ve downloaded codec packs to see if that was the problem but its not. What am i missing?

AVI is just a “wrapper” (i.e. outer packaging) for a wide range of files.
Where did the original file come from?
    Is it Divx or Xvid?

sorry for being so vague. Its encoded using WMV3. so i did a bit of searching and i did download ffdshow and enabled the WMV3 codec. The video does display but the color and picture is discolored.

Sorry but I’ve never heard of the WMV3 codec.
