    Hi all,

Something I have been unsure of for quite a while (in fact years I’m embarrassed to say) is that my Windows Secondary Display (as Vegas calls it) that I view video on from Vegas is setup close to what I will see off DVD or Broadcast (not sure if there even the same ?). Of course there is Adobe Gamma. I have no idea if this is over-ridden by Vegas ?? Should I use turn on the Studio RGB toggle, I’m presuming that I should use the ICM that came with my monitor.

I’ve managed to get something that’s exceptable in the past but at the moment I’m working on lots of night time stuff including filmed stars and the milky way and I’m just not quite sure if the contrast and brightness is correct.

Could someone point me in the direction of some proceedures for setting up Vegas under Windows XP with a secondary monitor to view correctly. That way I’ll know that what I am putting out is 100% (well close to that) correct.

    Thanks in advance,

    Steve Roberts.

Your subject says “CRT”. If this is the case, this has been discussed before in this thread:

    Cheers for that John,

I’ll work with the Calibration and Adjustment doc to see how things pan out.

I’ve also yet to try that last suggestion regarding the Mask issues I’ve been having. I’ll get back to you on that one soon.

    Kind regards,

    Steve Roberts.
