    Hi all,

I am desperate need of advice the from COW contigent…

I was given a picture of a cammate (www.cammate.com) and was asked to make it somewhat 3 dimensional so that I can animate it. My client wants the cammate to swing around with the glass lens of the camera being the center focus of the scene at the end.

I know I need to throw the picture in illustrator or photoshop to separate the parts of the cammate and create individual layers that I can swivel, swing, move, etc. The part I am haveing trouble with is making it 3d so that all sides of the cammate and camera will be in final shot.

I was wondering if I could throw it in illustrator, extrude and bevel the photo to try to create a somewhat realistic looking image and I am not sure that Innvigorator will give me what I ultimately looking for. Animating the photo is no problem it’s making the entire thing 3d that I am having a problem with as well as looking at the lens of the camera at the end.

Is this possible? I hope someone here can help. Thanks in advance.

This looks like a job outside of AE’s abilities. At best, you can have someone create the 3D model for you and then use Invigorator Pro to do the animation.

Thanks for the reply. I thought this would be too much outside of AE 6.5 and C4. I tried to extrude in Illustrator, duplicate the layers, change perspective and go from there. THAT TOOK FOREVER… I believe creating it first in 3d is best. I appreciate your help.
