    Hi again,

this is an update to my “waveforms disappear” post.
I figured out that the reason why all recorded audio events are empty is that Vegas writes damaged WAV files into my recorded files folder. I should mention that during recording a waveform is generated which disappears when I hit “stop”.

Depending on the length of such events, the WAV files are of regular size (bytes), however, when I play such WAV files in winamp, real player or other music player, they only produce a short click and last not longer than a second.

Can anyone provide any help in fixing this problem?

Is there something wrong with my Vegas or rather with my PC in general?

    Please note:
    – I tried several audio devices
    – I have already re-installed Vegas twice
    – recording with Audacity works…

I appreciate any help and suggestions.

    Cheerz n’ thanxx

    Julian

I was wrong with my last email to you. I discovered it was Kaspersky (My virus software) that was causing the wav disappearing problem. I had to tell it to ignore Vegas & Acid. Everything seems fine now.
