SONY Vegas intergration with After Effects
I currently do my cutting in vegas and move to after effects by saving my project as a .AFF files. This of course muddles up a few tings in the cut sometimes. Is there an easier of moving from vegas to after effects or better still are there any third party plug-ins that will allow me do all of my grading in vegas.

AAF files are the only way I know of to transfer timeline events. If you want to stay in Vegas, Boris RED is similar to AE and plugs into Vegas and can use some of the AE plug-ins. (I have some of the DigiEffects plug-ins running in both Boris and AE) It may allows you to run whatever color grading plug-ins you were planning to use in AE. Check the Boris site for plug-in compatibility first.

A frameserver will only send one track. It is the same as rendering to a file and using that file in After Effects. I assume that Ayodele wants to color grade individual events which the frameserver cannot supply. It’s not the same as using AAF which preserves all the edits on all of the tracks.

Vegas Pro already has good compositing capabilities and you can get lots of film looks using the build-in tools in Vegas (check out VASST Celluloid which only uses internal Vegas FX to do this).
Also, What’s wrong with Boris RED? What’s wrong with Magic Bullet? There are already plug-ins that do this. (and Boris RED can also run most AE plug-ins as well)
