  Sony Vegas 8 Wide Screen Problem

  I have the consumer version of 8, not pro.

  I am having some trouble rendering my videos into wide screen. I have my properties set to a 16:9 setting (640×360 for You Tube), and the footage I am editing with is 16:9. Whenever I render the video, the size changes from 640×360 to something like 720×360, causing black bars to appear on the sides. When I put the video on You Tube, it squeezes it all together, and makes it look like full screen with the black bars.

  How would I fix this so it would be normal wide screen?

  Try setting pixel aspect ratio to 1 in project video properties and use these settings while rendering.
