I’ve searched for an answer here but can’t find one.

I created a protype title “preset” and saved it with a unique name. According to what I read on a post at jetdv.com, this should create a folder called “collections”, at this location in XP:
    “c:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Application Data\Sony\Titler 1.0\Collections”.

The preset shows up in Vegas, but I can’t find the folder ANYWHERE. I wish to copy more “xml” protype files that others created to this folder.

    Can anyone help?

You will need to turn on “show hidden files and folders”. Go to any folder menu bar and select Tools/Folder Options/View and then select it- it will be a radial.

I have allready done this. I see the “Titler 1.0” folder with one “config.xml” file in it but no “collections” folder and no sign of the preset I made.

If you do not see the collections folder, then just create it. Make sure you are under the right user name. Once you create it, you should be able to go into collections and custom under protype and see your presets there.

    “C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Sony\Titler 1.0\Collections” in Vista

    “c:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Application Data\Sony\Titler 1.0\Collections” in XP.

I did create a “preset” and can see it in vegas along with the 4 standard ones, “empty”, “centered”, “center baseline”, and “near baseline”.

I can NOT see it in the protitler menu of “collections” nor can I find a file on my computer so that I can copy it to another computer.

Are the “presets” on the left side of vegas different than the ones found in the black menu of “collections”? If so, spell out how to save the “collections” kind.

You can name a preset, save it, and have it show up including multiple collections. And yes, collections will not show up in the presets and visa versa unless you name it the exact same.

Take a look here and see if you can find it. I believe it is attached to the registry: C :\ Program Files \ Sony \ Vegas Pro 8.0 \ Presets

There should be some folders in there (with as many presets as you have).

If you can’t find it, make one really quick and name it something original and then do a search for it.

Let me know if this helps.
