  Thermal visual effect

  Hi all,

  I am currently trying to produce these visual effects, as seen on many movies ie. predator, navy seals etc.

  1- thermal vision (as if looking through a scope/binocculars, the hot spots being yellow, to red to green etc.)

  2- night vision (like through night vision goggles, with the green, or grey tones )

  3- sonar (similar to the Terminator, looking through his eyes with the red on black look.)

  Are any of these effects possible with vegas 6.

  Would I be able to use raw footage with these effects, or would it need to be green screened?

  Any advice, or points in the right direction would be awesome!

  I think I can help with the night vision.

  Add in Min&Max, Color Balance and Brightness & Contrast filters in event FX.
  Then turn down all channels but Green in Color Balance,
  Turn down brightness.
  Turn down contrast a bit.
  increase MinMax values to get a low res look if you like.
