  Building Peaks in audio

  Hi,
  I have two channels of audio on my audio track. When I dragged a video clip on the timeline, while it is still copying, I clicked “Cancel” button at the bottom left most corner. Now I see (Peaks Not Available) on the audio track. But I do hear the audio though.

  How can I get back the peaks? I tried deleting and re-adding the clip, didn’t help. I think peaks are needed for doing Offset of the recorded audio. Any other purpose of these peaks? Thanks in advance.

  Close your project, look for a file with the same name as your audio and an extension of .sfk and delete it, then re-open your project and Vegas will rebuild the peaks.
