Hi again Im having trouble working with DVD-HQ bitrate and gop calculator.
I have a 88 min. wedding edited on sony vegas pro 8, Pal, shot with sony V1P in 1080i
My project settings are the same.
Using the calculator Im told Bitrate MAX 28600 kbs AVERAGE 6000
    MIN 2400
I multiply by 1000 and enter custom settings eg 28,600,000 6,000,000 and 2,400,000
I assume this would make a 4.37gig video ready to fit on dvd but I end up with a 19.something gig vid
I did burn it buy clicking fit to disk, It dropped the bit rate to 6.something, it did burn but very pixelly on the big screen
Im assuming Im doing something wrong.
To recap Im entering these settings
    SOURCE LENGTH 88
    VIDEO FORMAT PAL
    AUDIO coustom 384kb/s
    AUDIO STREAMS 2
    RATE auto
    SCENE active
    BITRATE LIMIT HD-DVD 30Mb/s
    3024Kb/s
    MEDIA SIZE DVD-5/4.7 (4.37gGiB)
    4482MiB
    OTHER ASSETS 4MiB
By the way, Im putting 4 in other assets, as I have a couple of titles and a menu, so Ive taken a guess there as I dont understand that too well.
I assume I dont have to multiply that by 1024 eg 4,096 MiB ???????

As you can tell, I need any help I can get here.
You people helped me out with my last problem, and I thank you heaps.
    Cheers Grant

Since it looks like you’re rendering this to a regular DVD instead of a Blu-Ray, your bitrate is far too high.
Try the following VBR settings instead.
    Min: 3,672,000
    Avg: 6,120,000
    Max: 7,656,000

    Thanks again Mike,
You helped me with a 4.5 hour vid a few weeks back.
Im rendering with your settings, for this new problem at the moment.
Are you able to tell me where Im going wrong when using the bitrate and gop calculator?
No matter how I try it, I can not get it to display similar settings to yours.
Yes, I am burning it to a regular DVD.
    Thanks again for your help
    Cheers Grant
