  error message on rendering

  I just obtained vegas and put together my first piece, which I can view ok in the viewing screen then after rendering it I click on the view button and only the sound comes through.

  I get the following error message:

  Video not available cannot find ‘vids:dvsd’ decompressor

  What am I doing wrong??

  What format did you render it to? How did you try and play it? It is possible that the player you used cannot play the file depending on what codec was used to encode it.
