I’m attempting to import an HD video (HD 60fps, 720P) to Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9.0, and I am given the following error every time I click on the video itself.

    Then Vegas crashes.

Any tips on what’s causing this? (I’m not exactly a computer genius… )

I assume the file is a MOV file because Quicktime 7 is what’s causing the problem. I would make sure that the file plays correctly in the Quicktime player. Also make sure you have the latest version of Quicktime 7 and the latest version of Movie Studio 9. Other than that… I really can’t say what might be wrong.

The file does play in Quicktime fine, and I have updated both Vegas AND Quicktime…

Yet I still encounter the same error every time I try and use the MOV file in Vegas…

I’m actually quite frustrated. Sony is pretty much giving me the run around with tech support here, and I didn’t shell out the money for this program only to have it lock up and crash every time I try and use it.

Any other ideas? I greatly appreciate the time and effort.

What codec does the quicktime movie use?
