  FYI, solution for problems with HDV 720 30P project

  Just wanted to share the resolution to a problem that I was having in case others run into it. Vegas 8.0c kept freezing and would not render 30 minute HDV 720-30P project. I tried everything including a fresh install (regedit etc.) and nothing helped but I finally got it to render by removing extra media from the project. I had lots of extra media in the project because the show included segments with several takes in about eight locations. After removing the extra stuff I had no problem rendering.

  Before manually removing extra media, I did try to reduce the size of the project previously by doing “save as” and trimming the media but the project crashed without saving a veg.

  I reduced the amount of media in the project by rendering small segments that had already been proofed to a new track and removing the original media.

  Hope this is able to help someone else.
