Lens Flare Off DVDA Burn?
Hi,
After burning my project in DVDA I noticed on one of my stills that the lens Flare is off the location that I placed it on in Vegas. Here’s the odd thing; The Lens Flare “is” in proper placement when previewing in DVDA (before burning). It’s “not” in proper placement on my burned DVD. The Lens Flare is off by about two inches of where it’s supposed to be. I don’t understand why it won’t burn the way it’s being previewed. If you have any idea why this is happening, please let me know. Thanks, Ray -

When you viewed it on the timeline did you view it under “Best” “Full”? If not, go back and take a look. Sometimes if you are using draft or preview settings the locals of items do not always show up spot on.

I’m not sure then what the culprit is. However, I would try rendering out the portion that has the flare as an effect to an uncompressed avi file (if it is short). Once you do this, replace the footage with the rendered avi and attempt another burn if it shows up correct.
By the way, is it just showing up this way on the burned disc or on the rendered file that you are putting on the disc?
Are you allowing DVDA to render or Vegas? If DVDA, I would let Vegas encode the file.

Hi,
Yes, I render in Vegas then open DVDA and preview it on my external TV monitor. Everything is in place in preview. I then burn to DVD and upon reviewing from the DVD it is off location. I have burned just this clip alone and with one before and after and still get the same results. Thanks, Ray -
Are you able to send me a link to a place where I can download the rendered clip you made? I would like to burn it to disc and see what becomes of it on the screen.
Also, if you can make a veg file that has just that event with the fx on it and zip it up with the source media, I would like to download that too to see if I can reproduce what you are seeing.
