  Chaging time length of text

  Hi all,

  I have 2 time lines 1) contains video clips and 2) contains pictures and text. When I add a picture it defaults to 5 seconds in length and when I add text it defaults to 10 seconds in length.

  Question 1: Is there a preference that allows me to change the default time for pictures and text?

  I want the text and pictures to be 5 seconds each. Is there a way to change the time length of the text to be the same as the pictures. I was able set the length of the text to 5 seconds using Ultimate S.

  The rub is that I want the video clips on the top time line to ripple down but not change in length of time.

  I hope I’m making some type of sense about this.

  To change the length of stills automatically when place
  on the timeline, go to ‘Preferences…Editing Tab and
  adjust the “new still image length”.
