I don’t think the velocity envelope is working correctly on my computer. I have a 15 seconds video (HD) taken from my Canon HF100. I want to slow it down between sec 5 to sec. Although it does slow everything down but it seems only a few frames are played back in those 5 seconds and the total play back time is still around 15 seconds.

    What am I doing wrong?

Are you double clicking on the envelope line to add points where you want to start and stop the slow down? Danny Hays

To change velocity and change event length at the same time, you can place your cursor at the edge of the event on the timeline, press Ctrl and drag the cursor either to the left or to the right (depening on wheter you want to increase or decrease speed)

I did add some points on the velocity. My question is, if I have 1 15-second video clip and I want to slow down the velocity to 10% for 5 seconds (between the 5th second to the 9th second), then for a 30 frame/second video we should have 150 frames in those 5 seconds. When I slow it down to 10% (3 frames/second) shouldn’t it take 50 seconds to play back all those 150 frames? But my play back time is still about 15 seconds (or a little longer) and a lot of frames seem to be drop between the 5th and 9th second.

    Am I missing something? Thanks.
