Vegas 7 and InifitiCAM
Hey All. I just finsihed making a 2-cam mix with Vegas 7 and the InfinitCAM plug-in. This is my first Vegas project, so I’m still very much a newbie. How do I actually watch the video, to make sure everything is synched properly, and to see if I made any adjustments? Also, how would I view the video in another program? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

You first need to tell us what format you have rendered it

Like Steve Said, have you already rendered it or are you wanting to preview it before rendering? You can enlarge the preview monitor in Vegas and set it to full-best. Also do you have an external monitor? You can preview it from there. But you’ll need a analog digital converter like Grass Valley’s ADVC-110.If already rendered, again to what? If it’s AVI or WMV double clicking will bring up windows media player. If MOV the QT will play it.
Again give us some more information please.

Hi Nick,
If you’ve added all of your camera markers and now want to see the resulting edits, you should move to Step 5 in the infinitiCAM User’s Guide on page 21 which will show you how to “Process Camera Edits at Markers”. This will build a Master track with all of your edits that you can watch to be sure all of the edits are to your liking.
If you need to change anything, just adjust the camera markers and run step 5 again to rebuild the master track until you are happy with the edits. Then move on to the final editing stages in your project or render the master track out and watch it on another device.

Thank you, JR. I did this, and everything in the preview turned out well. I’m pleased.
I know I sound like a moron here, but where do I go now? I want to save the video somewhere, and add it to DVD-Lab. Should I go to “Render to New Track” under Tools, and save it where I need it? Or is there something else I need to do. Again, very thankful for the help.

If you are done editing for now, go to File | Render As… and select the render type and template that you want to use. If you are going to DVD-Lab you want to select MainConcept MPEG-2 as the render type (because DVD’s require MPEG-2) and then select a template. I use DVD Architect so I don’t know what templates are compatible with DVD-Lab but I would start with the NTSC DVD or PAL DVD (depending on what country you are in) as a start.
