    Hello,

I am trying to create a flash video for my website. I am producing a file from vegas and then converting it to FLV with Super. The end result is a pixelated picture even though the intial resolution was very high captured with a V1U.

I render the file intially in Vegas 8 at 320×240 in AVI (I have also tried Mpeg 4 and Mpeg 2) – I then convert in Super – I tried bit rates as high as 3600 – the picture is still not as clear as it should be. I am ready in other posts people are converting to flash at bit rates as low as 700.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

this is what I do to obtain best quality FLVs with vegas:

    – render in vegas AVI uncompressed with best settings and progressive field order (big and best quality file to start).
    – encode AVI to FLV with flash encoder (8 in my case) using On2VP6 codec, modifying screen size, quality (Kbps), fps (usually half the original) and audio settings as required to get best quality vs. file size.

    ….done ….

…. I’ve used super only for iPod conversions and that kind of stuff…

You might want to take a look at this new DV-Kitchen that’s advertised right here on the left sidebar right above the tape-online ad.

I’ve watched their video and it seems like a really cool program. I plan to get it.

There’s also a lot of small programs out there that will encode to FLV but you’d probably go broke trying them all. Peronally I use Squeeze at this time.
