  • Multiple files in trimmer window?

Posted by Bryan Cannon on September 25, 2008 at 4:47 pm

One of my work-arounds for an m2t audio problem I’m having is to combine the m2t video with the original AVCHD audio. In the timeline, this works OK by stacking and using multiple takes. But I haven’t been able to view both the audio and video (from different source files) in the trimmer window. Is this possible? I have even tried deleting the unused takes and creating a new group. Having to do all of the trimming in the timeline will make this work-around very tedious.

    Thanks for your help.

No, I don’t believe so. The trimmer is file based not event based so it opens the actual media file regardless of what takes are in the event.

How about creating a further Vegas project, doing your audio swapsies in that and then Nesting THIS new Vegas within your original Veg and putting THAT Nest into the Trimmer?

    Only a thought.

Thanks – I will give that a shot and see if it shortens up the process.
