Hello all, I have a fairly simple (I hope) question.
I want to take footage that I have shot and apply an effect from 3DS to it (a character creates a ball of fire in his hand; this is for an exercise, don’t worry).
Here’s my question: if I motion track the data in After Effects, can I export that data into 3DS and use it to animate my object accordingly? I’m using FumeFX if that helps. The reason I want the 3D object animated as opposed to just manipulating the 2D footage in After Effects is because I want the smoke and fire to react to movement.
Anyway, I hope I was clear, thanks.

Hi, thanks for the response. I was afraid of that, but it seems that buying a full tracking program would be a sound investment anyway.
    Thanks!
