embed a URL in Timeline?
I did a search and didn’t see this covered, I apologize if it has. I want to use the Command function in Vegas Pro to add a URL at the end of a video (WMV format) to get it rollover to a website. My boss wants to know if I can create a sample video that when done playing will revert the viewer to a predetermined page or failing that have a clickable link at the end.
I tried it in a short piece and rendered it out, But when I play it in a windows media player window it doesn’t go. Is there a way to test this in a browser (specifically internet explorer?) Or am I doing it the wrong way. the manual was not real specific on it.Thanks!

Various versions of the WMP won’t accept the redirect in the stream. You’re using a command marker set to URL, and that’s the only option to embed a URL in the stream from within Vegas that I’m aware of.

I am using Windows media 10,any thoughts on how i test the clip in a browser? I can arrange to have it uploaded, but that will take some time where I work. In another direction, is there a way to put a “clickable” link in a graphic at the end of a WMV?Tom

I don’t think this is possible according to what you want to happen.
only thing i know is maybe you can encode the video in another format
and make the link appear in front of the video…flash may can do this,

What I am hearing is that it may be possible with flash, But I have my hands tied on format, our company’s server is set up for Windows media only as far as I know.
I have tried the command function in vegas to get it “roll over” to a web page but I don’t know if I am testing it correctly. Has anyone used this function?Tom
