Is there any way in Sony Vegas 8 Pro to clean up distortion and remove the noise from an audio track? My podcast uses listener phone calls, but these often come in distorted.

    Thanks so much,

Depends on what kind of noise. Distortion is very difficult to decrease. A continuous noise such as a buzz or hum may be able to be reduced/removed with Sony Noise reduction. If you don’t have that then try Audacity (a free sound manipulating program. Distortion is more or less a trial and error even in the best of cases.

Thanks, I actually have been using Audacity, I was holding out hope that SV8 could do it better. It kind of surprises me that SV8 doesn’t have that ability. Thanks again.
