Specialized encoding for the web, can I do it in Vegas?

I’m trying to do my own encoding for a 60 sec trailer for my web store so I don’t have to pay extra for the encoding but I can’t figure it out. DSE Help please! My producer nas the following specs for QT. There’s also specs for WMV but I’d prefer to use these if I can figure it out.
Encoding to QT
Sorenson Video 3 @ 320 x 240
15fps – 168kbpsMP3 Audio, Mono @ 22kHz, 32Kbps
Maximum video size 2.5MbI got Sorenson Video in Vegas but can’t seem to figure out the rest of it, especially the MP3 Audio.
Can’t figure it out in Squeeze Power Pak 4.5 either, so I’m batting 100%. ;-(
Any help would be appreciated please.

I don’t think MP3 is a valid audio format for Quicktime. I have Quicktime Pro and it’s not an option there nor in Vegas. I would use the Vegas Quicktime template 100 Kbps Video as a starting point and just change the target rate from 10 to 16 on the Video tab. Those values are specified in Kbps and you want kbps so divide by 10 (168 is 16.8 but decimals are not allowed so 16 will give you 160, 17 will give you 170 which is over what he wants)
I don’t know how you’re gonna get MP3 audio in there. Let’s hope DSE knows.

We recommend using Windows Media Encoder or Canopus ProCoderLooking at Squeeze, the default choice is MPEG4 audio. I wonder if that’s the AAC audio? Also the settings in Squeeze are confusing, being listed only as streams. ie; 112k_Stream, 1mbps, 256k, 384k_stream etc. There’s only 1 or 2 tht gives me the mono @ 22.5 option also.
Maybe I should just try QT Pro which I have? Ugh! I sure whish I could find another service. Ever since Amazon (CreatSpace.com) bought CustomFlix, the service doesn’t seem as personal as before. And now it’s email only. Custom Flix used to provide a suppoet phone number. And you wait forever for replies to emails!

Quicktime Pro definitely supports MPEG-4 with AAC audio. If you already have it, then you’re all set.

I just recently got QT Pro on this machine so I could save tutorials from Apple for my new MacBook Pro. I didn’t rmember that I could also encode video.
I did and it came out great. QT Pro even created the HTML for embedding. Wild!
I still want to find out how to do it in Squeeze though! 😉
