Playbackrates
I have a problem with Sony Vegas.
When I record some footage of Call of Duty 2/4, I use the rate of 0,25 as a ‘timescale’ which sloweres the footage with 4. So 1 second actually takes 4 seconds. When I speed it up using Playbackrate 4 in Vegas it converts to ‘Direct Frames’ asin; 1 second takes 1 second.The problem is, if I want to fast forward something then, I actually can’t because playbackrate 4 is the MAX. Is there any way to UNLOCK the playbackrate? or is there a kind of an addon?

What is the file format you are working with here?
and i am not too clear when you say “if I want to fast forward something“….If you meant speed up the playback,have you actually
tried holding down ‘ctrl’ while you drag the edge of the clip to the left(shortening it)?Steve Rhoden

Yea well, you should see it like this
I import my clip. (Delayed with 4)
I want to make it normal speed, so I chose Playbackrate: 4
When im editing it, I want to fast forward it (so it goes x2)
!! this is the point where it gets stuck, playbackrate 4 is the max, you cant get to playbackrate 6 to fast forward it ONCE again, so im asking‘is there anyway to unlock the max: of 4’ ?

You can insert a Velocity Envelope on the clip (right-click | Insert/Remove Envelope | Velocity) This will allow you to speed it up more (by 300%) and slow it down to a stop (or even -100% which is backward at full speed). If you need more than that, simply speed it up, render the clip at the new speed, insert the rendered clip back on the timeline and speed it up some more. You can do this indefinitely.
