July 23, 2008 at 1:46 pmThis is probably best asked on the Final Cut forum since it depends on what formats DVD Studio can accept. I don’t have a Mac and use Sony’s DVD Architect so I can’t say.
You didn’t say what format your source is. Is it 4:3 or 16:9 widescreen? Are you NTSC or PAL? The answers to these questions will affect what template you choose. I would start by using the DVD Architect … video stream templates (select NTSC or PAL, Standard or Widescreen) rendering the video as MPEG and audio as AC3. But some DVD authoring programs expect elemental streams. If that’s the case then use the DVD NTSC video stream template. It will create M2V files. You will have to be mindful if your footage is 16:9 and the template is 4:3. Make sure you select the proper template/aspect.
