  Windows Server 2008: Vegas Pro 8 startup fails

  Running Windows Server 2008 32-bit: Vegas Pro 8b installs and registers but dies immediately on startup with error: APPCRASH and error info StackHash_6d80.

  Any thoughts?

  Uninstall version 8.0b, Then download and install version 8.0a
  and see if it starts-up with the same error.

  You need set the DEP only for systems program and services in system properties. It solves the problem.

  It should also be pointed out that Windows Server 2008 is not a supported platform for Vegas. Only Microsoft® Windows® XP SP2 or Windows Vista™ are supported so hopefully you aren’t doing this professionally because you will not get support from Sony.
