  HD rendering

  I am trying to render with Vegas 8.

  I get a message that says – NO licensed for Cineform encoding – please visit cineform for upgrade.

  What else do I need to render HD?

  What format are you trying to render to (AVI, MPEG, etc.)?
  As I recall, the recommendation was to install the (free) Neo player.
  You can get it from the Cineform site.

  I was trying to render in avi.

  I have tried installing neo player but it makes no difference.

  I then tried to render in mpeg 2 which seems to work fine.

  Any ideas?

  You said you’re using Vegas 8 but is it Vegas Pro 8, Vegas Movie Studio+DVD Platinum or Vegas Movie Studio+DVD?
  I’m asking this because I use Vegas Pro 8 and have no problem rendering most forms of HD without any additional software.
