  AE CS4 – Interpret Footage is INCORRECT

  When I import a 29.97fps QT into AE CS4 it sees the files frame rate as 31.579fps
  When I conform the frame rate to 29.97 the file plays out of sync

  what gives?
  Is this a CS4 bug or am I missing something

  I’m on Mac and the QT is Uncompressed 8bit and reads fine in FCP & QT Player as 29.97

  Hi Dave

  Yes is seems to be happening all the time.
  I’m guessing this is a CS4 bug.

  Anyone else having this issue?

  What’s the codec?

  Also…what’s the QT version on your machine?

  I haven’t run into anything on the dark side…but I’m willing to try to reproduce what you’re seeing on the Mac if it’s a codec that Windows uses…

  (I haven’t run into anything like this…’yet’ anyway.)
