AE 8bit Uncompressed frame rate changes to 23.98 from 29.97
I posted this in the FCP section but it looks like it may be an AE export problem.
My project was exported from MAC CS3 AE, it was a 30 second spot set to export at 8bit uncompressed 29.97. If I open the exported clip in Quicktime, it shows 29.97. In FCP that imported clip shows 23.98. The only reason we noticed the 23.98 reading in FCP was the audio would come in a little off. It was at that time we noticed FCP showed the clip had the 23.98 frame rate. FCP project was set to 29.97. I also exported using Animation and Avid Meridian as a test and the files held the rate when brought into FCP. Did AE really export 29.97 with the 8bit Uncompressed? Any thoughts as to the changed frame rate reading when it went to FCP? Thanks.
