Rendering animation at 60 fps HDTV in After Effects?
Hi guys,,
Please can you tell me how to render an animation not footages,,
at 60 fps hdtv preset, and then burn this on a dvd to play it back
on my HDTV.Why 60 fps? cuz i trayed all the ways to get my animation so smoothing looking like ( motion blurr, easy ease, deduce interlace flicker ) and non of this helped me to get the movements smooth.
I have now rendered an animation with the animation codec from apple,
at 60 fps hdtv, it looks very very nice all the things, but the size is 1 gb for one minute animation? somebody a tip for me?Thank you

i’m not a dvd authoring expert, but i believe you’ll need to have a blu-ray burner to burn hd content and a blu-ray player on you tv to play it.
if you have those, then i would think you could burn a 720p60 animation to blu-ray with a blu-ray authoring tool. that tool should convert the animation file the encoding used by blu-ray (h264 i think, but again, i’m no expert).
if you wanted to create smoother motion for an sd dvd, then you should take your rendered file into ae, create a 720×480 comp (either widescreen or 4×3 depending on the aspect ratio of the render) at 29.97 fps. add the rendered footage and choose layer>transform>fit comp height to scale it to the comp. then when you go to render that, click the render settings and enable field rendering (lower first). this will give you the smoothest possible motion in sd when you convert to mpeg-2 and burn an sd dvd.

No i dont have the blu-ray burner yet soon well.
This is what i don’t like about the smooth story
look this after effect test that i made its only for a test
the frame rate is 30, but it looks not so pro, by pro
i mean the animations who made by people like you maybe 🙂
but when i render this test at 60 fps i really get nicer
animation.I gonna tray what you sayed about the best way to get
smooth animation for a sd or dvd.I tell you the results so please come back again.

you are 100% right i really knouw and understand, my only problem
is i don’t know how to render or choosing the right presets.This is a test that i made with after effects just to show
