I was wondering something. I have a project going on where I am using multicam in Excalibur. I have 4 cameras presently in the project. I already did the process of putting in a marker and aligning up as best as possible, and running the sync mode in Excalibur. I have since manually shifted all tracks where they are pretty much sync’d. I now have been given camera #5, and want to use some of the footage from it also. Since I have only done the sync process in Excalibur, (even thought it has put several master tracks in the project, can I just add a video track and insert footage from camera #5 into the timeline and manually sync it with the other 4 tracks, and still be able to do the camera selection process, and finally the finishing process of Excalibur? Or am I going to have to start from start with all 5 camera?
    Thanks
    Steve

    Here’s what I would do:

    1. Delete the “Extra” tracks (Tally, Tally2, and Overlay).
    2. If you’re using 6.0.3 – reset the Track Motion keyframe at the beginning of each camera track. For older versions, select all camera events and run the “Reset Pan/Crop” tool.
    3. Add the 5th camera and manually sync it.
    4. Run the Sync tool with NO markers (now using 3×3 instead of 2×2)

What do you mean by “select all camera events and run the Reset Pan/Crop tool”? I understand selecting all the tracks, but how do you restet Pan/Crop?

On the Repair/Maintenance tab in Excalibur you’ll find the “Reset Pan/Crop” tool.

Hi anyone out there who can help.
I have a similar problem but in Vegas 8
I was able to get several independently recorded tapes of the same concert, I synced them all together and merrily went on my way creating a multicam edit.
Now another camera guy has given me his tape of the same concert, and i want to add this to my multicamera edit.
Ive tried adding it as a take, but it only shows up when the particular take is used, not as another camera throughout the concert

How can I (or is it in anyway possible) to add, remove or replace tracks?
    Thanks Chris
