Just wondering if any has had this problem and how to correct it.

Situation: on occasion I’ll need to tweak the color or brightness of an area of a clip. What I usually will do is, duplicate the clip and on the upper clip, I’ll mask off what I want to enhance (usually I’ll apply feathering too). And then on that upper masked clip, apply whatever necessary color/levels adjustment What will usually happen is at the threshold of the mask feather there will be slight darkening/lightening/colorization. So, say I tinted the masked clipped with a bit more green, there is an apparent darker green-ish ‘halo’ surrounding this masked clip. Granted, it is very slight, but depending on how severly I enhance the masked clip and depending on the shot being used, it can be quite apparent. To correct this, I mainly have been going into After Effects for I don’t have this problem and the clips blend properly.

Anything that can clue me in would be greatly appreciated. For I love that I can do virtually everything I need with the Vegas application.
