I have many saved vegas projects that I have used to encode dv avis to web over the past few years. I wish to make master copies for all of these dv files so I can then encode them with flash. My Adobe Flash Encoder has no settings for color correction or de-interlacing so I have to handle that first in Vegas. I also wish for my files to have a watermark that only vegas can do.

Lossless is extremely important. File size is not that important as long as it is manageable.

What format should I encode with? avi wmv huffyuv?
I tried huffyuv once before but windows explorer didn’t seem to like it. It always crashed when i opened a folder containing huffyuv files.

What about bitrate? Is 4mbps enough or should I juse 6mbps? Should I resize the 720×480 video in vegas to 640×480 or do just keep the master at 720×480?

    Eric.
