  need help (quality and black borders)

  i have uploaded videos to youtube but every time i upload them,they seem to have two black borders (kinda like widescreen)on the bottom and top,sometimes left and right and sometimes the whole screen has a border.I usually start my projects with 720 X 480 then after i’m done i resize them to 425 X 355 then render the project.I usually do that cause the preview screen is small in 425 X 480.Basically what i’m asking is what dimensions can i use so that the black borders dont show when uploaded on youtube.

  My second question is a quality question.is there a format i can use that will make my vids not lose little to no quality when uploaded on youtube?(the vids are slideshows with music).Even if they are large file(60-100 mb) thx in advance
