Audio Commentary Track for DVD Architect 4.0
I have finished a DVD and the client wants me to add a director’s audio commentary. I have gone through the manual and can’t figure out how to add a selection button for the alternate second commentary. I have the audio track in a second layer on the main button but how do I add a button to select the second audio track? Is there a good tutorial for this out there? I am stumped which is unusual since I’ve taught myself the rest of the program.
For now I put another selection for the main video with the commentary soundtrack but that has doubled the content and I’ve had to compress the DVD too much. It works but I know it’s not the right way to do it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know this should be dead easy…

This is easy indeed. All you have to do is render voice-over as an independent file, and import it into Architect. Place it on the ‘timeline’ (add a track, if needed). Now you can add a button and specify in its propertins the proper number of the audio track that it should activate (by default, the track No. 1 will play; the button that you insert gives an option to chose another track — just go to the button’s properties window and specify the right number for that track).

i am trying to do the same thing, in 5.0. the suggestion here does work, however it creates a totally new copy of the video clip as well. I have 5 seperate tracks for a single video, and would like to use buttons from the menu to set the tracks. All I can find is to make seperate video buttons, and then choose which audio track to start with in the button properties. However this also creates a seperate copy of the video track, taking up a lot of space. Anyone know how to make a button that just changes the audio track, but still links back to the same video file?
