Capture
I just noticed that when I am capturing video, at the top of the page it says “Sony Video Capture 6.0 Default”. Is this correct when I am running Vegas 8 Pro? I checked my other computer that is still running 6.0, and that’s what is says when I capture with it. I notice on the V8 Pro, also when capturing, the counter showing the current tape position doesn’t count, it stays at “0”, but when you are capturing, the capture counter works.

Yes, that is correct. Vegas Pro 8 has a capture app whose version is 6 (the build numbers have changed from vegas 6 to Vegas 7 to Vegas pro 8)

when capturing, the counter showing the current tape position doesn’t count, it stays at “0”, but when you are capturing, the capture counter works. What would cause this? I just did a wedding edit in November and it seemed to be working then, at least I’m pretty sure that it did. The only difference between now and then, is now I am capturing from a Digital 8 camera, and then I was using my DVX100B.
