Transferring quickly to DVD Architect?
Hey everyone, I was just wondering, I have a live DVD of a gig set out with all the edited footage on a vegas footage exactly how i want it to be on the DVD.
Do i have to Render the entire track as an MPEG2 first and import that into DVD architect or is there some easier way of saying to write whats in the vegas file straight onto a DVD?
Any responses would be most welcomed 🙂

If it’s destined for an SD DVD, you have only one choice:
Render to MPEG for the DVD. DVD players cannot generally play avi files, and even so, if your project is longer than 20 mins, it wouldn’t fit on a standard DVD5 anyway.
Rendering to MPEG is *best* done in Vegas, but you could export the finished AVI into DVDA, and render from there, although that is never the optimal workflow.Douglas Spotted Eagle

Thanks for the advice both of you :D, also, can DVD architect merge multiple mpeg2’s into one film, for example, i usually edit a live song on a bands performance then render that song as an mpeg, then move onto the next and repeat. i then have several mpegs… can DVD architect merge them into like one film line cos when ive tried before it can basically play a file then stop, then you have to select the next file in a made up scene selection menu, rather than having chapters to skip straight to and a working menu like you would have in one film line.

Use End Actions to get from one video/file to the next without returning to a menu. Open End Actions with a specific file in the timeline, and instruct the DVD to play the next file. There often will be a very short hiccup as it moves from one file to the other.

Ok let me try that, how do you program the end actions to do that? Because ive tried tweaking that before but it always returned to the menu.
