  Downmix Level

  I’ve completed a 5.1 mix for a film and need to deliver both the 5.1 tracks and a stereo downmix (no time for a separate stereo mix). When rendering a stereo wav from the 5.1 tracks using the channel mapping option, the level drops considerably and there are no tweak options I can find. By upping the overall level at the output using Wavehammer, I was able to get it pretty close to the 5.1 level but at the cost of some additional compression and limiting. What am I missing here? (this is for a 24 bit stereo wav, not AC-3)
