  • Small horizontal lines after rendering to MPG2

Hello, I am making short videos using footage originally captured on a super 8 camera. Everything is working fine except when i render the video to an MPG2 file. The resulting video looks decent except that there are small horizontal lines mostly in the white/lighter shaded areas. I have tried tweaking the deinterlace feature but to no avail. any help is greatly appreciated. thank you.

Sounds like interlacing artifacts. Does it appear that way when watched on a tv or on the computer?

the lines appear when watched on the computer. i have not attempted the tv yet. it is also severly worsened when i watch it using win media player in full screen mode. it isn’t so bad, but still noticable in regular size.

Youmight be surprised seeing it on a tv set.

I’ve experianced the same problem for a long time. I think it is the mobo in my system. Will know for sure in a week or so as I’m building a new system. Its frustrating as H@#ll!!!

If your capturing to a fire wire or usb on a card, you might try a diffrent one.

    Good luck
