timecode f/x
Posted by Earle Del rosario on February 3, 2008 at 4:34 pmIn media pool, how is Sony timecode f/x applied to many events at one time? And then on timeline, how is timecode f/x removed from all of the events at one time? I hope that it doesn’t have to be done to each event separately.

February 3, 2008 at 5:15 pmThere should be pre-installed scripts in your script folder called “Add timecode to all media” and “Remove timecode from all media”.
Run as needed. -

February 3, 2008 at 11:19 pmDo you mean to put “title text” on track after putting event in timeline? Wouldn’t that just display the timeline’s counter, and not display the actual timecode of the original footage? Can the “title text” be put in all events at one time in the media pool?

February 4, 2008 at 3:06 amCurious: Is Vegas mostly used in AvantiVideo? I think it’s the best value NLE.
1) What hardware is used to capture ucompressed HD, if Vegas allows it?
It would be good whenever Vegas includes script-sync with support for script format software(ie. Final Draft,…), like in Avid Media Composer.

February 13, 2008 at 9:03 pmthanx. After saving an edited timeline with timecode-script, can that file be opened and the timecode-script be removed before encoding to mpeg2? I’ve opened a saved AVI edit, and I’ve tried clicking TOOLS >SCRIPTING >REMOVE TIMECODE FROM ALL MEDIA for event in media pool, but the timecode remains.
