I am getting ready to purchase the Decklink HD Extreme card and before I do I wanted to check here and see if there are any known issues. I asked Decklink support and they were very cautious as Sony only offers Beta drivers at this time. It seems that this is the only solution for my workflow as AJA Xena does not offer any support or drivers for Vegas. Has anyone had success using this card with the following capture workflow.

    SDI/SD-HD video in
    Analog XLR audio in
    Vegas Pro 8.0a

you might be better off using Cineform NEO to capture from a BMD or Aja card, than trying to get Vegas to work at capturing.

What would the benefits be in using Cineform? The Decklink HD Extreme card will capture HD/SDI & SD/SDI my current needs are SD/SDI & Analog XLR audio. Has anyone used this configuration? When will Sony be done Beta testing drivers for BMD? I have been using Vegas since 3.0 but I am cosidering switching to another editing solution completely if they can’t provide SDI users with better options and drivers for third party products.

Cineform will capture from Aja or BMD, I beleive. Vegas is shaky with BMD, at least. Even if you could capture with Vegas, why would you want to? It’s only 8 bit, HD-SDI is 10 bit.
